Position: Purchasing Agent
Role within team:
Issue purchase orders for goods and services. Establish safety
stock and reorder points based on sales trends, forecasts and
historical data. Insure parts availability at time of need at
the lowest possible cost.
Job
Duties:

Negotiate price, delivery and
terms for procurement of materials required for production and
MRO.

Componentry production, purchase
orders, receipt of goods and invoice entry into MAS 90.

Establish safety stock quantities.

Perform value/cost analysis
on purchases.

Assist in Inventory management.
Read and understand prints. Supplier delivery performance, interface
with engineering to insure accuracy of prints and bill of materials
and perform cost analysis.
Position
Attributes Needed:
education: High School Diploma or equivalent minimum.
Degree in Business Management a plus.
training: Knowledge and experience in value control,
contract law for the buyer, negotiation, inventory management, interpersonal
and communication skills. Respond professionally to stress, conflict
and change. MAS 90 experience a plus.
experience: Minimum 5 years experience as buyer, or
planner/buyer including negotiation, family part sourcing, vendor
networking, price cost analysis, and inventory management. Thorough
understanding and working knowledge of MRP.
