KO Custom Molded

Indications: This design is for recumbent use or with ambulatory modifications can be used while walking. The static controls and submaximal assistKO for Bi-directional use  allow for conservative management of spasticity to improve muscle length and balance and to correct postural deformity. It enables a true stretch and control across the knee while providing positive adjustable ROM stops to protect the knee and musculature. This knee design minimizes pressure to ease related co-morbidities from poor skin integrity, neuropathies or vascular disease.

Fabrication: These orthoses are custom fabricated for a specific patient. A patient model of the knee is made from plaster or fiberglass. The model is modified for relief of bony prominences. Plastic and metal are then formed to the patient model using exacting orthometry measurements to complete the brace.
